Welcome to our Website!

The Roosevelt Neighborhood Association was started by concerned community members who wanted to clean up and retake the park from the gangs. The group became a Project Crackdown area in 1992. With Project Crackdown we were able to reclaim the park. In 1995 Project Crackdown closed, leaving the original group to maintain the park.

Roosevelt Board Members are: Allen Conrad, Ted Cunningham and Michelle Kalish

Mission Statement:

The purpose of the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association is to revive, reclaim, and maintain Roosevelt Park as the nucleus of  health & community while expanding this health throughout the Roosevelt Neighborhood.

The goal of the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association now that we have reclaimed the park from the gangs is to revive the environment within the park and there by reviving the neighborhood around it. We have completed several projects with this goal in mind. These projects include creek clean-ups, litter pick-up, tree planting, and various community functions that have enabled the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association to be recognized.
