The Washington Area Community Coalition is part of the Strong Neighborhoods Initiative (SNI) and consists of five neighborhoods:
- Alma - Neighborhood Association (ANA)
- Goodyear - Mastic Neighborhood Association
- Guadalupe - Washington Neighborhood Association (GWNA)
- Tamien Neighborhood Association

Anyone can post a notice on the Washington Area Bulletin Board. No membership or special permission is required. Examples of notices include: classifieds (items for sale), garage sales, events, and more - any information you feel might be interesting to residents of the Washington Area.
